Private Schönbrunn Palace Tour
The top attraction in Austria is Schönbrunn Summer Palace! It was here where the Imperial Family spend their summer time and brought the entire court along. Up to 3000 guests stayed there at times.

On our tour we will tour the palace inside and outside, with lots of interesting and also fun information on the Habsburg Family – (little history lesson included). Marie Therese, Marie Antoinette and “The Empress” – Sisi!

We will then explore the fantastic gardens, maybe hike up the Gloriette hill, or play hide and seek in the Maze!
We can then choose to either see the quaint and interesting carriage museum – which is a real gem.. or do the Applestrudel Show!
See how to apple strudel is made while having your Viennese cup of coffee and actually sample the apple strudel!

PS: On request we can even do a little Family Photoshoot!

Why book a private guide instead of “just buying tickets”?
I know, I know. Private tours are really, really pricy! And it is soo much cheaper to just buy the tickets and head into a Palace on your own.. But honestly: it’s quite hard to get time-slots in Schönbrunn Palace without a tour guide. I will get you in with no rush and skip-the line tickets.. You will get a beautiful experience that will really make history come alive again. Also a good guide will add to your overall visit of Vienna like your Vienna Sightseeing Consultanting, guiding you on Hotel choices, restaurants, coffee shops and the best places to go.
You will absolutely LOVE the experience of a private guide, there is only one problem!!! You will get addicted to traveling with private guides and will always want one!
What to expect on my private tour:
- The story behind the Glamour: Sisi, Marie Therese of Austria and Marie Antoinette.. did Marie Antoinette really say “Let them eat cake”? Was Sisi really quite impossible?
- A smart route through the Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens: so you don’t miss the best highlights or waste time.
- Vienna context: the full Habsburg story, the garden history, and what makes this palace more than “a pretty Habsburg building.”
- Real-life sightseeing help: sightseeing advice, best restaurants to go to, coffee shop I would recommend, Things to do and Things not to D
Tickets are separate unless we agree otherwise

We were absolutely delighted with the city tour with Susanne—both her warm, welcoming manner and the entertaining way she shared so many facts and anecdotes about the historic old town, as well as everything else Vienna has to offer. She knows and shows hidden corners and also gives recommendations for further activities, which we happily took advantage of.
