Wachau Valley Bike Tour

This wonderful tour is put together for a very selfish reason!!! I love this excursion so much, that I have decided to put together a tour and offer it to all my sportive guests. It combines the picturesque landscape of the Wachau Valley with the pleasurable sporting acitivity of bike riding. We will start out at Vienna Westbahnhof Train Station, ride to Melk, get off and receive our bikes at Melk. Then we will cycle along the Danube river in a beautiful scenery. We will have a delicious lunch at the cute town of Spitz and continue to the most picturesque stretch of the trip along the vineyards to the quaint village of Dürnstein. We could end our tour here and have a little wine tasting, or we continue to Krems and head to the train station for Vienna!

Jewish history of Vienna is a very delicate topic that many tour guides try to avoid. Susanne does a wonderful job in highlighting this important part of Vienna’s past! BEST DAY of our trip! It started with a scenic drive outside of the city on our way to the picturesque Wachau Valley. After an apricot danish in the town of Krems we saw several other quaint towns, and miles of miles of vineyards on our way to our lunchtime cruise down the Danube River and then ended up in the town of Melk and a tour of the Melk Abbey. Susanne planned a simply perfect day – one we won’t forget for quite some time! This was a 10 star tour!
